Gp41, known as glycoprotein 41, is a subunit of the envelope protein complex of retroviruses which includes human immunodefiiciency (HIV).
Gp41 is transmembrane protein that contains several sites within its ectodomain that are required for infection of host cells.
Also, HIV-2 gp36 is the main target to serological test for diagnosis.
So we are making chimeric recombinant antigen that composed with HIV-1 subtype B (Europe epidemic) gp41 and gruop O gp41, HIV-2 gp36.
This chimeric recombinant antigen can serological test for HIV diagnosis.
